Job Title: IBM Cognos Developer

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced IBM Cognos Developer to support, maintain, and enhance our existing Cognos Analytics reporting environment.
• The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in report development, IBM Cognos Framework Manager, and SQL relational databases.
• This is an individual contributor role requiring a developer who can independently develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain reports while ensuring accuracy, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain reports using IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Create and modify reports, dashboards, and other reporting components based on business requirements.
• Develop and maintain metadata models using IBM Cognos Framework Manager.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries against relational databases.
• Analyze reporting requirements and translate them into effective Cognos solutions.
• Troubleshoot report issues, resolve data discrepancies, and improve report performance.
• Support existing Cognos reporting applications and implement enhancements as needed.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to understand reporting needs and deliver solutions.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Expertise in Cognos Report Authoring and Development.
• Strong experience with IBM Cognos Framework Manager.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience supporting and enhancing existing Cognos reporting environments.
• Ability to work independently in an individual developer role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent hands-on project experience with IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Experience maintaining and enhancing enterprise reporting solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
